Smart To-Do List - Now with Due Dates

by Scott on March 11, 2009

The latest version of Smart To-Do List has been posted to the server. If you’ve previously purchased Smart To-Do List you will be getting an email detailing where to download the latest version. This version adds the following functionality:

  • Due Dates!
    • Due dates are completely optional.
    • Due dates can be entered in many different ways:
      • 03/10, 03/10/2009, 2009-03-10, or March 10 to name a few.
    • Tasks can be sorted by due date.
  • Keyboard shortcuts have been added
    • Ctrl-p: Show all projects
    • Ctrl-h: Show high priority items.
    • Ctrl-m: Show medium priority items.
    • Ctrl-l: Show low priority items.
    • Ctrl-r: Remove current filter.
    • Ctrl-n: New project.
    • Ctrl-b: Sort by priority.
    • Ctrl-d: Sort by due date.
    • Ctrl-t: Show items due today.
  • When a project is selected the to-do item count is shown next to the project title above the to-do list.
  • New Keyword Shortcuts
    • “date” - sort by due date
    • “t” or “today” - show items due today
  • The To-Do entry box grows as you type in your task.  This allows you to see the entire to-do as you type it no matter how long it gets.
