Moleskine Beauty

by Scott on January 14, 2009

I recently received my engraved Moleskine notebook from JournalEngraver and it is really sweet.  I’ve had Moleskine notebooks in the past, but I think having this engraved version will actually convince me to carry it with me so I always have an outlet to write down or sketch out my ideas.

JournalEngraver.com has several different categories of engravings such as entertainment, city maps, famous quotes, and more.

If you don’t know about the legendary Moleskine notebooks here are a few links to get you started:

This is the fortune I got from the Chinese take-out my wife and I had last night:

It’s a great reminder about all of those ideas you have tucked in your head waiting for the perfect time.  That perfect time will probably never come, you have to just get out there and do it!  Good luck achieving the goals that you set for 2009.

Car Hack #1

by Scott on December 11, 2008

As part of my day job I have to travel several times a year.  Unless I’m in a large city I always rent a car.

Of course, before you return the rental, you have to fill up the tank to avoid getting charged those crazy fees.  You pull into the gas station and then it dawns on you, “Which side is the gas tank on??”.  Well, here’s an easy way to find out:

Notice that arrow next to the little gas pump pointing to the left?  That’s the side you’ll insert the pump into.  This is really convenient and should be visible in most newer cars.  I actually use this at home sometimes when I’m driving my better half’s car and I need a sanity check before I fill up.
